Update, Fresh Catch and Tranquility have sold.
Things don't always work out as planned. Last week I had to travel to Savannah to pick up 3 large framed paintings that had been in a gallery for a year.
When the gallery owner contacted me last year and asked if I'd like to show in his gallery I was flattered and jumped at the chance! It's Savannah after all! So in February of 2022 my husband and I made the trip from Raleigh NC to Savannah GA to deliver the 3 paintings he chose from my website. "I need large paintings" he said. OK, that's great. He only shows framed paintings and those are very expensive.
I had 3 beautiful custom frames made.
Life has disappointments along with all the happy good things. It's about learning to accept those disappointing moments and that's hard sometimes. So these paintings are now in my studio until I can sell them or find another gallery here in Florida.
I'll never know why they didn't sell. Art is subjective and as one of my previous gallery owners at Sunset River Gallery in NC once told me "it only take one person to fall in love with a painting and make it theirs." She was right and sold most every painting I sent her.
So in case you are having a bad day or found something terribly disappointing just know you are not alone. We all have those moments.
Cheers from the (over crowded studio)
Diane
PS … If you'd like to make one of these yours just let me know. I offer free shipping on all paintings.
